On behalf of the SEN Leadership Team, Advisory Board, and the Membership at large, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kolbe Clark of Aurora Kitchen and Interiors in Somerville, New Jersey for her recent referral of Castile Kitchen & Bath. When industry peers Jen and Forrest Castile were seeking guidance in expanding their business to include an additional showroom location, Kolbe set the introduction in motion, advising the Eugene, Oregon couple that the expansive knowledge base and coaching opportunities necessary to help them navigate successfully through their endeavor could be found nowhere else but in membership with SEN.
Kolbe lives in Hillsborough, NJ with her husband Bob and two children and became the sole owner of Aurora Kitchen and Interiors in July of 2018 but discovered her passion for design long before, in her early teenage years. As a member of SEN since 2020 and a member of the Interior Design Society (IDS), Kolbe enjoys creating beautiful functional interiors for her clients and specializes in everything from accessories to space planning and complete renovation. She demonstrates her zeal for the industry through teaching courses in design at Raritan Valley Community College and enjoys mentoring those considering a career in the design field. Through Kolbe’s dedication and contribution to the industry, Aurora has been the proud recipient of 14 Contractor of the Year Awards from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for demonstrating excellence in functionality, problem-solving, aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovation.
As you know, SEN Design Group was born from a vision of fundamentally changing the kitchen and bath industry and the studios, showrooms, and design-build firms that populate it. Engaged members like Kolbe are the lifeblood of SEN and positively exploit the SEN brain trust of experience, and the group’s exclusive 40+ assets, to transform their companies. This valuable message of what a SEN membership promises to deliver is one that can be difficult to market effectively to the entire kitchen and bath industry and we rely on our members to share their experiences with their peers.
